Since our association with IBM in 1947 and the establishment of SBM in 1981 as the General Marketing and Services representative of IBM in Saudi Arabia, our vision has always been to be the leading provider of total Information Technology solutions to the people and industries of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At SBM, we pride ourselves in providing our customers with state of the art IBM technology products and an extensive portfolio of solutions and services, backed by a committed and professional workforce of over 800 employees.

CLUB BLUE

At SBM, we strive to keep our employees content inside and outside the workplace, just as much as we strive for 100% percent customer satisfaction. We believe that happier employees mean a stronger desire to produce great work. And so far, it seems we haven’t been wrong. Club Blue is unique to our SBM community, where families are valued, engaged and treated as an extension to our employees. Investing in them, through both time and finances, is a promise we give to each of our employees, calming their concerns and letting them know they are supported.

From family-oriented social events to our annual husband-and-wife getaway, we encourage our families to be part of our lives at SBM. Ramadan iftars and activities with raffles, are just a few of the ways that we get to know each of our team members and their families, while instilling a sense of pride and acceptance in the supporting role they play in our SBM employees’ lives. At SBM, the communal culture is also internal. With sports, such as our football league, SBM encourages the integration of each of our departments at all levels. Discrimination and hierarchy is never present, while sportsmanship and camaraderie, is fully nurtured. This is in line with our open door policy and our commitment to having an environment of equality, where recognition and appraisal is given to who it is due.

PAPERLESS ENVIRONMENT

At SBM we take pride in adopting sustainable business practices. One such example is our commitment to a paperless environment. In addition to reducing our environmental footprint, it also makes business sense.

SBM was the first company to allow major national Saudi banks, to operate through a completely paperless system, by switching all their day-to-day operations, from paper to an Oracle-based Internet Banking service. 

At SBM, we do this through adopting the following systems:

SBM employees both regular and outsourced, are responsible to ensure that any SBM/IBM Confidential Information on-line or as a hard copy, including office material & company Capital Assets, are considered confidential and kept well-guarded.

  • Communications: At SBM, our communication e-mailing system encourages all correspondence to stay on-line without the use of paper. Furthermore, our document management system ensures that documents can travel and be worked on in soft copy instead of being printed.
